An art show for kids by kids - Presented by Cuyahoga Falls Visual Art Booster, Sir Troy's Toy Kingdom, and Cuyahoga Falls Library.
The Cuyahoga Falls City Schools Visual Art Booster is excited to present, "Snap Together" a Lego built art exhibition and youth competition. The event will be hosted by Cuyahoga Falls Library. We are honored to be sponsored by Sir Troy's Toy Kingdom. As our sponsor and VIP, Sir Troy's Toy Kingdom will be displaying amazing original Lego builds created by Ohio Lego Artists.
The show will feature additional professional and guest teen Lego artists displaying alongside our youth Lego art recognition and competition. This year, the competition will be split into 4 age groups; ages 3-6 will receive a prize and certificate, ages 7-9, 11-13, and 14-18 will be judged in the competition. Each of the three age groups being judged will have prizes awarded in 2 categories: an under 500-piece build and an over 500-piece build. All builds will be eligible for a People's Choice and Best in Show award. This is a free event made possible by the Cuyahoga Falls Visual Art Booster, Sir Troy's Toy Kingdom, and the Cuyahoga Falls Library.

Origin Story: As with all great Lego builds, this event comes with a story. The event was envisioned by a 13-year-old, Milo Schulman, a Lego enthusiast whose dream is to become a Lego designer. Finding little opportunity for teen Lego artists to connect and show their works, the concept of a youth Lego art show that includes a teen category was born. Through the support of Up Front Art Space owner, Mystye Gorgan, the Cuyahoga Falls Library, and the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools Visual Art Booster, he is bringing his vision to life. Milo is helping to organize, run, and judge this exciting event.
Rules: Each youth artist may submit up to 2 original Lego builds. Only original builds will be accepted. An original build is a Lego creation that is of the artist's own creative design; based on your own ideas. Not created from pre-made instructions. Both wall art and free-standing builds will be accepted. The type of blocks used in the build should be Lego "like." All plastic interlocking blocks cast like a Lego brick are permitted- all brands of blocks are accepted. Duplo blocks or larger-scale Lego "like" interlocking blocks are also acceptable.
