This summer, we're bringing our community "All Together Now" for the 2023 Summer Reading Program. To celebrate the start of our annual Summer Reading Program, come to this free, 2-day kick-off event Fri., June 2 & Sat., June 3 at Cuyahoga Falls Library.
Get registered for Summer Reading at our Registration Station, available all day Friday and Saturday. Our teen volunteers will assist you with your registration needs. Summer Reading is for adults, teens, and children, so bring the entire family! Registration bags are available while supplies last.
Once you're signed up, your summer reading adventures can begin! Join us for painting, crafts, storytime, and events for all ages. Plus, enjoy cookies from Oh So Sweet bakery (while supplies last).
Friday, June 2
- 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Summer Reading Registration Station, Chambers Room | Sign up for the Summer Reading Program with one of our teen volunteers!

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Summer Journal Station, Children's Department | Stop by the Children's Department any time between 10 - 2 PM to decorate a journal that will hold all your summer memories. All supplies provided. While supplies last.

4 - 5 p.m. Painting with Sarah Huziak Aspiring artists ages 8 to adult can join us at the library to paint an original masterpiece led by art instructor Sarah Huziak. All supplies provided. Registration for each participant is required. This event is supported by the State Library of Ohio with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

10:30 - 11:00 a.m. Summer Storytime | Join us outside on the lawn by 3rd Street for a special summer storytime! Geared for families with children ages 2 - 5, but all are welcome. No registration.

1 - 2 p.m. Outdoor Crafting Stations: Tie Dye + Buttons & Magnets | Stop outside on the lawn by 3rd Street to join in some crafting fun at our Tie Dye, Button & Magnet Making stations. Button and magnet-making supplies will be provided. Please bring your own white (prewashed) fabric for tie-dye. Crafts will be available while supplies last. No registration required.

3- 4 p.m. Rubber City Ukes Summer Concert | The Rubber City Ukes are a group of ukulele players of all ages and skill levels based out of Akron. Join us for a concert of fun songs, and sing along if you like! The concert will be held on the lawn at the 3rd street parking lot entrance. Please bring your own lawn chair. No registration required. Stop by our Library of Things while you are here to check out a ukulele of your own!
