Join us for our third-annual Books & Dragons! Don your best costume for a spooky special event based on popular tabletop role-playing games. All ages and experience levels are welcome!
Come one, come all to the third annual Books & Dragons: a special event celebrating all things fantasy, monsters, tabletop role-playing games, and, of course, books! All ages are welcome to don their costumes and join us for an interactive event.
Travelers will quest through the library on an immersive scavenger hunt, plus enjoy themed crafts, classes, speakers, snacks, and opportunities to play a session of Dungeons & Dragons. Shop at our Vendor Market to commemorate the occasion with themed merchandise. This year, the library will be transformed into a haunted adventure with our theme, "Vampires & Werewolves & Ghosts, Oh My!"
Adult, teen, and child adventurers of all ages and experience levels are welcome. The event is FREE and no pre-registration is required to attend. Some activities and presentations may require you to pick up a free ticket on the day of the event.
Upon arrival, begin your quest on the library’s lower level.
You and your adventuring party (aka your friends/family) will receive a map/schedule of events, choose from pre-made characters, then journey through the stacks to find various Dungeons & Dragons-inspired encounters. Your party will roll the dice to best villains and find “magic” to aid you on your quest.
Available while supplies last. Activities are suitable for all ages. Adult supervision required for ages 12 and under.
