Learn how to support your local bat population by providing them a home!
Join this workshop to learn about the benefits of bat houses! There is a limited supply of bat houses available, the dimensions are 16"x16"x48." The first 17 participants to register receive a bat house - REGISTRATION FOR BAT HOUSES IS NOW FULL. To attend the presentation only, registration is NOT required. Everyone is welcome to join us for the presentation and learn about bat houses.
Part of the Cuyahoga Falls Growth Initiative, this program will be co-presented by Bryce Pulley, the Public Utilities and Community Outreach Coordinator specializing in environmental education from the City of Cuyahoga Falls and Marlo Perdicas, Summit Metro Parks Biologist.
Marlo Perdicas has been studying local bats for more than 20 years. Along with her passion for bat conservation, Marlo enjoys leading citizen science projects to engage others in nature study and scientific data collection. The intricate work of nature fascinates her and has studied many other animals throughout her career. She will talk about native Ohio bats, share about local bat research, and showcase why bats are important to you and how you can help protect them.
