A book club for nonfiction fans to enjoy interesting conversations, hot beverages, and community.
Prefer fact over fiction? Join True Story, our non-fiction book club! Each meeting, we'll spend an hour discussing a different non-fiction title. This meeting, we'll be discussing “The Origin of Others” by Toni Morrison, as part of the Ohio Celebrates Toni Morrison yearlong celebration.
"America’s foremost novelist reflects on the themes that preoccupy her work and increasingly dominate national and world politics: race, fear, borders, the mass movement of peoples, the desire for belonging. What is race and why does it matter? What motivates the human tendency to construct Others? Why does the presence of Others make us so afraid?" Goodreads.
Pick up a copy of the book at the Information Desk in Adult Services on the Upper Level of the library or try an ebook or audiobook from The Ohio Digital Library. Registration is recommended.
All adult programs offer ASL interpretation provided by request. Call 330-928-2117 ext. 2000 or email adultservices@fallslibrary.org. Please contact the library at least two weeks in advance.
