We love our local teachers! Educators will be treated to activities and refreshments while discovering public library resources that can supplement their classrooms and support students' success.

After school, teachers are invited to join us at the library for coffee/tea, light refreshments, and activities. Discover how free public library resources can help make your life easier. Explore books and special collections that supplement your curriculum, as well as programs and services designed to support families and students. 
 
In this interactive session, teachers will have the opportunity to:

  • Get an introduction to our MakerSpace offerings and customize a tote bag using the library's Cricut Press (all supplies provided). 
  • Pick out free books for their classroom. 
  • Take part in a library scavenger hunt. 

Learn about library resources designed for teachers and students such as:

  • Teacher Library Cards 
  • Children's Book Box titles (multiple copies of the same book)
  • The new Children's Decodable Book Collection
  • Children's Discovery Zone 
  • Library of Things
  • Teen Space & Collections 

Teachers will also have the opportunity to connect with our Children's Department Manager and Adult/Teen Department Manager to discuss customized visits and collaborations.
