Sutliff Room - Meeting RoomLearn about the history of dams in Northeast Ohio, what impacts they have on the Cuyahoga River, and about the current projects to remove dams.
Over the last decade, obsolete dams have been removed and modified to improve the water quality of the Cuyahoga River. Now the focus has turned to the removal of the massive Gorge Dam. Join us to hear from Summit Metro Parks Watershed Specialist Elaine Marsh about the history of dams on the Cuyahoga, what benefits come from their removal, and the status of the Gorge Dam. Registration is required.
